Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparers will review all financial records, such as W-2 forms, taxable income statements, and all vital documents to accurately prepare federal tax returns in accordance with the IRS and state regulations.
  • Prepare income tax return forms for individuals and small businesses.
  • Preparers will interview clients to obtain information on taxable income, deductible expensive and allowances.
  • Compute taxes owed or overpaid based on clients tax situation and assist clients with gathering necessary paperwork and documents.
  • Provide clients with transparent fee amounts, Refund timeframes and advice regarding their tax return
  • Preparers will market there services and process income tax’s returns in a non-completive team atmosphere.

Skill Requirements:

  • Team player with positive attitude
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to effectively organize and prioritize task.
  • Ability to work flexible and long hours during peak season.
  • Must obtain a tax preparer identification number (PTIN)
  • Demonstrate the understanding of government rules and regulations.
  • Must be punctual and have a reliable form of transportation.
  • Attire is business casual and must be able to attend team meetings.
  • Local Travel 25% – 50%

Education Requirements:

High School Degree or equivalent related business experience. Course of study in tax preparation and or accounting preferred, but not necessary.

  • Perform data entry and scan document
  • Answer, screen and transfer phone calls
  • Audit documents
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for managers or supervisors
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails
  • Manage calendars
  • Provide general office support
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Answer phones and route calls to specific personnel
  • Schedule appointments, copy, email and faxing documents
  • Take and relay messages to appropriated personnel proactively
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and keep office organize
